Athlete Profile

Fitsok is excited to tell the stories of runners across the country and how they RUN FOR IT every day.

Aaron Sjogren, 33

Where do you live? How does it affect training schedule for events?

I live in Minneapolis, MN. It’s a bit tough training through the winters, but come spring it’s beautiful to be outside with all of the lakes and rivers. The long winters help you appreciate the time good weather!

What kind of background do you have in running?

I came from a swimming background and didn’t really start running until college. Beginning as a casual runner, I’ve spent the better part of the last 10 years running and competing in triathlon events.

Tell us about your most recent race.

My most recent race didn’t turn out exactly as planned. I went into the race a little over ambitious and ended up with a couple of stress fractures. It taught me a lesson about the consequences of squeezing in that one last long tempo run!

Any races or event plans for the future?

I have a couple of notable events planned for this year. I’m planning to get a team together for the Ragnar Relay (Great River)…it’s a 193 relay race from Winona to Minneapolis. Additionally, I’m planning to run the Twin Cities Marathon this Fall.

You’ve been running in FITSOK for a while. What about FITSOK is different from other socks you’ve worn?

I’ve gone through a lot of socks through the years. FITSOK has come up with very comfortable socks that always seem to fit just right. In the past, I’ve had trouble with socks not fitting correctly…either too big, too small, too bulky, etc. With FITSOK this has never been an issue. Truly a great product!
