What is your running history?
I've been running marathons since 2007.
What running groups/communities are you involved with?
North Central University Cross Country - Women's Coach, NCAA DIII Urban Trail Mix - Target Center Lifetime Certified Personal Trainer - NASM
What is your favorite running experience?
My favorite running experience was the 2014 Boston Marathon. After being a part of the 2013 race, which included the bombings that took place at the finish line, the 2014 Boston Marathon provided an opportunity to reclaim that experience and bond with a group of runners in a way that I have never experienced before. Two weeks after the 2014 Boston Marathon, I learned I was pregnant - we named him Boston.
What events are you running/racing in 2016? What are your goals?
Lake Minnetonka Half Marathon, Minneapolis Half Marathon, Red White and Boom Half Marathon, City of the Lakes Half Marathon, Twin Cities Marathon. Goal for half marathons: Sub 1:30. Goal for marathon: Sub 3:15.
What do you talk about when you talk about running?
When I talk about running, I usually share how we named our son Boston - to serve as a reminder that God delivered our entire family to safety in 2013 - the year of the bombing at the Boston Marathon.
What is your favorite Fitsok sock and why?
The F4. It's lightweight, thin, and great for racing! I like the lip in the back so my heel doesn't rub or blister. I also like the left and right anatomical fit of the socks.
What are your major running accomplishments (races completed, PRs, awards won)?
Marathon PR: 3:18:23 Half Marathon PR: 1:33:02
